This Body of Christ was organized and held its first service on Sunday, June 11, 2006, in Lake City, Georgia. This Body was called Mt. Zion Christian Center International, Inc.  It was founded by Apostle/Pastor Michelle Underwood Sears. During the first 11 ½ years of existence, Mt. Zion Christian Center has seen and had its share of ups and downs, experienced victory and defeat and yet we are still standing. The church began as a thought in my mind, to a vision written on paper, to an launching of a church. The church met in various locations thought the Atlanta metro area. We are certainly grateful to the churches that assisted the church during the formative years by allowing us to share worship facilitates.  

A new day came to Mt. Zion Christian Center. The Word of the Lord was given to Apostle/Pastor Sears by Prophet Marcus Taylor during the Spring of 2017 concerning changing the name of the church. She received that Word and began to be dutiful and listen earnestly for God’s voice. On Thursday, November 23rd, 2017, as Apostle/Pastor Sears drove to Alabama to visit family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday, the Lord spoke. The Lord gave her instructions to change the name of the church.

On Monday, January 1, 2018, the name change became effective, we are now Impact Worship Center International, Inc. The definition of Impact: to have a strong effect on someone or something. The church must regain it’s footing in society/the world and the only way we can do that is to become the CHURCH again. Preaching, teaching, and standing on Godly principles that are found in the Word of God and to show forth the love of Jesus. Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV) says, “The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love”; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

And yet we need to be reminded of Hebrews 12:6-7 which says, 6For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.” 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
